We had the chance to go home for the Fourth of July. Home, I mean, Corinth, MS. Both our families live in Corinth, so we split ourselves between houses. At my parents home, we enjoyed a fanastic dinner!! It was also my brother's birthday --he officially joined the "30's" club. Out of the 10 of us, he's number 3, along with my sister who birthday is the 5th.
At Jonathan's parents we have to have competition!! Rex made a homemade ping pong table, so we had an awesome ping pong tournament! Jessica brought a game with her - we partnered up and see who could spray water from a water bottle into a plastic cup and make a ping pong ball float over the top. Can you imagine where that led???? Yes, you guessed it A BIG WATER FIGHT!!
We saw lots of fireworks and enjoyed being with our family. In commemoration of Independence Day we had a flag burning ceremony for one of Rex's old flags. Jonathan read up on it to find out how to do it properly. The kids enjoyed being apart of it and we sang the national anthem.
Sooooo much fun! don't you love family get togethers!? The water fight sounds like a blast!
